American Legion Post 282

Description
Since our charter on June 28, 1923, American Legion La Mesa Post 282 has been welcoming personnel from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces; Active Duty, Retired, and Veterans of any sex.

Males of any age whose parents or grandparents served in the U.S. military and were eligible at the time of their service for American Legion membership can join us as well as the mother, wife, daughter, sister, grand-daughter, great-grand-daughter, or grandmother of members of The American Legion, and deceased veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces and were eligible at the time of their service for American Legion membership, can join us.
Post 282, at times referred to the La Mesa Veterans Center, is a community gathering place who welcomes all eligible personnel. Your participation allows us all to continue serving God, Country, and Community.

Our mission is to provide low cost meals, entertainment, many programs that assist others, all while embodying the goals of the American Legion. See www.legion.org
