Also know as the Thomas Truax & Kent Longmire VFW, Post 8483 has 585+ Members, including the Men's & Ladies Auxiliary. All these groups meet here for a variety of outings and events.

The VFW sponsors Camp Ryan Adams - Rhinelander, Voice of Democracy, Patriot's Pen (Youth Essay Writing Contest), and Teacher / EMT / Police Officer & Firefighter of the Year Awards.
